What's the number next to State Code when you go to this modem page?

State Code 0.0.0 -- Fully operational

That means the equipment appears to be working as it should be, which in turn means you will need to do some troubleshooting on your side to see where the issue may come from. This will involve testing speeds using different settings, different browsers, and making sure wifi is off during testing (you will need to connect devices using a LAN cable).  You may have to isolate one device (disconnecting all others) at a time and run more tests.  The HughesNet reps on this site may run remote diagnostics and may also give you troubleshooting instructions.

ruggeri01,

I see it's your first post here. Welcome to the Community! I was able to pull your account up due to your Community account being linked, and noticed a couple of errors here on my end. When you have the chance, please unplug your modem from the power brick, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in. Please let me know once you've done this, as it will reset the modem and give us some fresh diagnostics!

Thanks,

Remy

The modem was reset.   Speeds are still horribly slow.   Just as reference, I'm a Sr. Network Engineer, and I can assure you there is not an issue with my test systems.

Multiple devices, multiple browsers.  I can switch the same devices to a different network, and they all work fine.

The download and upload speeds on this hughesnet system is basically unusable.   I'm going to need to cancel this system. We've had it for a couple weeks, and it's HORRIBLE!

That's too bad that your issues weren't resolved.

To cancel, you will need to call 866-347-3292. You may have to pay an early termination fee if you're still under contract. See http://legal.hughesnet.com/ServiceTermsAndConditions-current.cfm

To avoid equipment charges, you will also need to return the equipment (modem, power pack, and the radio from the dish). You will get a kit to return the equipment when you cancel the account.
