Speed tests

Will speed tests show accurate results if the modem is not operational; the modem power cord is unplugged; or the radio transmitter is non-operational?

Re: Speed tests

You need to be connected to the internet via your modem to be able to run speed tests. If the modem is off, you can't run speed tests (unless you're connected to the internet some other way, like with a different provider).

Re: Speed tests

(then and only then would you be measuring the speed of that other provider, not the one servicing the modem)

If you're buying a Ford, you're not going to test drive a Chevy...

There won't be results, as you can't run speed tests under any of those conditions because you can't connect to the net in the first place.

If you're referring to prior speed tests, depending on where you ran them the results may be logged.
