State code 30.1.1

For the last several evenings we've been having trouble with "Web acceleration connection in backoff state".  Things slow down to a crawl for a while.  What is up with that?

Have you tried going into the modems SCC advanced pages and do an MBX Reset ?

Yes, Gwalk900, I have been able to do the MBX Reset and it does seem to work.  Thank you.

Re: State code 30.1.1

Ed,

You can force a reconnection to the Web Acceleration in one of two ways.

#1: Doing a "hard reset" (remove ac power)

This method does cause the modem to wipe out certain logged error conditions and takes longer.

#2: Doing an MBX Reset

The steps:

Open the modem SCC by entering 192.168.0.1 into your browser:

that will open the following page:

(click on the picture for larger image)

Click on the small icon marked as #3 in the picture above

That will open the main "advanced" page:

in the menu on the left, click "Web Acceleration", click "Control"

That will give this view:

Click the button marked as "Reset MBX"

You should then see the system do a reconnect to the W/A server and the system status icon on the main SCC page turn green.
