WORST SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!!!!!

Signing up for Hughes Net was one of my biggest mistakes and I want out. OK, let's start with my initial conversation with a sales rep where I was completely fooled all the way down to the price that he was gonna charge my card. He boasted about a $50 off promotion that I was approved for, quoted me a price of $180.00 to get started, which is ridiculous, and I immediately started back peddling. To get me to come back he said that my first payment would only be around $120 with my promotions and I agreed. Guess how much he charged to my card....$170.00 Exactly $50.00 more than I was quoted. I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT I HAD TO PURCHASE A $90 ROUTER DURING INSTALLATION. WHO PAYS $300 FOR WI-FI SETUP AND INSTALLATION???? WHAT A RIP-OFF!!! OK, let me calm down because Hughes Net I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. So I decided to purchase my router from Wal-Mart because at this point I refused to give Hughes Net any more money. Got a router, finally got connected, and when I tell you I have never witnessed such slow and terrible wi-fi. My T-Mobile Hot Spot through my phone works better than Hughes Net. My 7 year old has problems downloading free games on a simple tablet. It is absolutely the worst service and customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I want out of this 2 year contract NOW!!! Please review my initial phone conversation, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and let me out of this deal without taking another dime from me. Mind you, I'm still in my 20 day free data trial period but I am no longer interested in this service. Can you please contact me ASAP to resolve. I don't want a refund, I just want out without paying $400 to get out.

Usually one can get out of contract with out an ETF if in this early and they dislike the service...  I will let an Official Rep answer that though.

Good morning kcarter,

Welcome and thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you have not enjoyed your experience with HughesNet. Please call us at 866.347.3292 to cancel. You're very new, so you should be able to cancel without ETF. Please post back if the rep insists on an ETF.

Thanks,
Liz
