Ok, I finally figured out how to download Amazon Prime shows onto my iPad to watch offline. Now, I’d like to watch them on my tv. If I connect my iPad to my LG smart tv through the Hughesnet WiFi modem, is it going to gobble up my data? I’ve been downloading my shows during bonus time, and I keep my TV Ethernet cable unplugged when I’m not using the TV. Kind of a pain, but trying to avoid data leakage. Is there a better way to connect to tv to watch offline?

Re: WiFi

It should not use any data other than what you used initially to download it. Casting to your TV is a direct connection over your local wireless network. If it does use any of your HughesNet data then report back here as something is very wrong.
