Christopher I would probably not walk again if I did any more damage to my knee. The messed up part is I injured the knee at work and the worker's comp doctor was only concerned with money and how far he could string the company into paying instead of making sure I was fully able to work again. The worse part is I miss that job so much but I can't do that type of work any longer. So I re-trained for something different in a totally different area of work. As they say you are never to old to learn something. 🙂

I received the box today Amanda. It has the instructions to remove the radio receiver. I just need a Phillips screwdriver. I will have someone remove it for me this weekend. Thanks for everything.

How do I remove the satellite thing. I call it a turtle with its head stuck out. But I know there is a technical name. Sorry I need to have someone else remove this for me. I cannot reach it and I am not able to climb a ladder due to a very bad f'ed up knee that just does not work right especially in climbing.

Charles I am about 1/3 mile off the blacktop road. The phone lines (that I do not use) were put down in the 50's or 60's. I am not sure which. I will never get UVerse, cable or anything similar but I am happy with the DSL. It is about the same speeds. I just need to play around and figure out when it is most congested and work around that for when i work. Not a problem for me. But no more getting up at 2 am for Windows updates or anything else that needs updating. The amount I am saving is a big deal for me.

lol jezra. I have been begging ATT (use to be Bellsouth) people for 10+ years to help me get DSL. I will not have the highest speed but it is the same as HN plus cheaper. That is a big plus for me.

Christopher I honestly do not know. I needed internet for work and had problems with the HN9000 not working. I requested no contract but according to the records I have a contract.

Thanks Amanda. I will be cancelling my service in May and switching to DSL. I admit Hughesnet is fast but after paying $150 a month for over 2 years and all the problems I have had I will not be interested in staying. Especially since the Ultra plan is not available for me. With the Ultra plan offering more data and being cheaper I feel Hughesnet is cheating customers. I will be saving over $100 a month with DSL thru ATT. Hughesnet will not offer me anything similar to what I can get with ATT. If they will I might consider staying.

I am sure someone in the community can answer this besides the reps. After I add a token to my account what happens to the unused balance of the bandwidth from the token. Will it stay in my account until I need (as in roll over) or is that unused bandwidth lost forever. I am sure I knew the answer to this once but my brain has been in overload for several months due to work and I cannot remember. Thanks and stay warm if your in the mid-south.
