Because of cost, we only subscribe to 20GB of HN data. It gets used up in less than a week. Now, we use our new larger cellphone data allowance for the first portion of the month {except for PC usage}, then switch to Wi-Fi. I noticed we were still losing almost 1GB per day of HN data. We are already at only 10GB left after a week. I used the Android app, "Who's on my Wi-Fi" and ID'd something called" Azure Technologies Inc" connected to Wi-Fi. After much investigation, this only showed when the TV was on. DirectTV is disconnected from Wi-Fi because it uses too much data. So is the Smart TV. I eventually found a reference online to Chromecast and Azure. Sure enough, when the TV was on, the TV's USB outlet was powering the Chromecast dongle and even though not casting and the HDMI port not being used, the photos it displays when used were still being accessed at a 1GB per day rate! I disconnected it unless casting and no unexpected data was lost yesterday. Our cell phones are scheduled to switch to Wi-Fi during the overnight 50GB period for app updates, cloud backup, etc. Hopefully, this info will be of use to others
