But honestly dont you find it odd that i posted a fix that was credited by hughes tech on the phone and asked me to share here only to be discredited by gabeu and removed entirely hours after but i checked again this morning my latency was 700ms which is way better than the 1200ms to 2600ms ive been running for the past 7 months and even had download speed spike up to 85mbs but my resolve has been removed from this forum?

Sorry ment to say (not) everyones resolve but as much as i hated exede still a better option than hughes they offer public ip which you will find means nearly everything in pc or gamind world and there latency on a bad day was in the 500s

I agree and anyone who says different is paid to do so thanks Ml you know im a straight shooter isnt it frustrating to know this has been an option all along and the techs there know what there talking about had issues when i first set up and there already fixed over the phone and its been mearly 15 hours since installed they had it all fixed in 30 mins im on 7maybe 8months with hughes did you notice after my post most people were getting a response of as courtesy of hughes were send a tech out to your dish never once been offered to me and they know me by name because ive actually heard them say oh god when i introduced myself when calling and thats after one time having billing issues of a lost card one of there employees tried to get me to pay pal my payment to him hughes is just a run around they make money off the fact that even if you try them out long enough to know its garbage they have still made money off of you and maybe more if they decide to let you off with no termination and that offer was extended to me by the last tech which i find a sign of admitting everything ive ever said along with all the times they credited my bill and added free data instead of fixing my issue

Ive tested my theory already since i still have both products that running 3gbs download actually achieves the download around same time with hughes since it jumps from 25mbs to 700kbs per second up and down so frequent it averages out and thats why when you call in to tech they have there own recomended test site because places like microsoft dont know anything apparently but no what it is ,is the sites they send you to test so little and such a short time that it shows higher number over an average. So gok through life holding both hamd over your eyes satellite is not the way to go unless you choose on of the 2 new providers like spaceX and another new one whos satellites arent from demilitarized 1960s dish and move on

I wouldnt say its the cure for downloads but for gamers for sure ,but probably has more to do with your confused you see that split second before you signal drops that you have 25mbs

I find it extremely ironic that my post was removed on this topic and your comment (gabeu) on not doing what i posted to resolve issue since it waa recomended by a tech who installs in montana who probably no longer works for hughes since you guys like to have "so called" techs picking up your phones and running this site to actually have a good one but it might come as a suprise to you that after i fixed my problem that you so called techs never could i called in to tech support asking what they were going to do for me for having to fix it myself going from someone who knew nothing about all this to a better tech than who answers the phone not to mention that when a tech picks up on your end it sounds like a birthday party and noisy and thats if you dont blatenly here then laughing at your situation and how mad your getting about it .... All said and done who cares but the thing is when i called informed them of my finding and the resolve to it i was thanked by the tech asked to Share my findings and paid two months on my bill when i asked what my finding were worth, that you a nobody who has been able to help nobody would come back and try and discredit my finding so if anyone wants to know the fix and not just be told peddly answers like plug you modem directly in the wall when it already is send me a message on here since my imformative post has been removed because who would want good connections anyways right.An even tho i myself and myself alone have made hughes tolerable with a ping or latency of 600 again will be cancelling because i switched to att mobile hotspot yesterday my hotspot box arrived i hooked it up and with 2 bars signal im running the speeds offered by hughes on gen5 and have a latency of 66ms max so outside of my original fix here is another easier way CUT YOUR LOSSES SWITCH TO ANY MOBILE CARRIERS HOT SPOT ,MYFI,VYFI and immediatly be happy again

And honestly i wouldnt ignore mls comment because even tho youll have 400 termination fee itll be cheaper than paying for something your not getting for a year then leaving and still getting termination its cheaper to get out early even with termination fee ive had the same issue of high latency for right at 7 months still get the same result and Einstein considers that to be the definition of insanity and i feel it

They should be substantially lower satellite runs 500-600 min a good signal should get that easy i just posted a resolve that worked for me should be at the top of tech forums ill see if i can tag you on my fix

2.5ghz has further range on wifi than 5ghz if you having issues your box may be to far away

As far as 5ghz log into router go down to 5ghz check the box for 5ghz ssid and check box for 5ghz broadcast set up your own password to protect

Latency for the most part is the culperate here i have the same issue but hulu runs as a 3rd part provider but netflix and amazon are the originators for there own product so to many places to ping to you will also notice spotify and others like it show same results and if they do load it buffers so much but try changed dns codes they can half ping rate and maybe just maybe help

This was a process i went through as well one quick thing to check is if he used the correct splicer if so check to see if he grounded it from the dish to house or the ground on dish, if all this is good use flashlight look to make sure there is no moisture in the white cap at the front of your dish, also make sure your gateway inside your house is not hooked up to surge protector the voltage to the system is very very important no signal strenght if theres no power to get there if none of these work get into your router go to Lan change ip range to 200s start 200 end 254 at the end of ip address turn change dns codes try many different ones i use 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in router and googles on my pcs 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 dont know why it works but it does also make sure ipv6 is enabled. I have many more trick to improve thing if its possible let me know if any of this work also i do not work for hughes just another customer left out to dry

Also cant remember exactly where but you can force the selected device ip address make it the same as your current ip just with .2 also look in your ps4-or xbox network setting they newly added alternate ports write these dow go into router =Nat>>port mapping add these ports to your selected ip for that device say 3704 to 3704 or 80to 80 fill slots with same value you can google required ports to help certain games also same with dns codes believe good one for gaming start with 100. Something instead of googles 8.8.8.8

Ive looked this matter up to since i was an excede customer and tho there data plans unless you get lucky and get umlimited was killer in cost they had public ip which was more game friendly with fps .or any game with instant response oddly but there speeds are less latency around 800 with them but hughes painted a beautiful picture that became blurred during exposure . Also learned it does help with changing ip in dhcp to example 192.168.2-192.168.254 open range from current 192.168.1.0 this is newest thing i tried didnt help latency much it is more stable tho seems thats the trick is how much it bounces causes chat issues and visuals

Ive tried few things with mine that helped ,keep in mind hughes runs a private ip:addresses which causes moderaate or strict NAT type our latency issues tech with isp needs to clear up tho ive had no luck with them . These are the steps i have taken in the router set your pc or main used system xbox,exc... as Dmz host ,or DHCP , DISABLE qos , change one of the dns numbers for what your trying to do pc works best with 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 google dns but make sure to leave one by your isp just in case there are a few things outside of this i have done my upload runs from 4.0-6.0 range but for gaming latency is the issue about 4 month at least this has been a big issue that needs fix by hughes . If i am wrong on this being a fix someone correct me i have at least 25hrs solid in port mapping and exc... to bring speeds up

Microsoft's built in test same one i use to use always on my end same one that use to show my low latency levels before the previous fix so its just not that . As far as gaming yes im more than willing to do all the same test through purple,and exc that the last tech had me do it through ,But let me ask why since they fixed it do i show a "double NAT type (network address translator) this has to be the source of the issue ive done everything microsoft suggest to fix on there side they formed conclusion its my ISP's issue

Also before there is any confusion my latency before the fix was the same speeds good data or fair access data this is not the issue my complaint before the fix was slow download speeds but actually ran better on fair access speed before the fix so i ate up my data to get to it since the fix my data just goes and thats fine but everything is bad now at all time evwn with faster speeds which im thankful for however there hardly faster off paper when downloading anything speed bounce all over then cuts off entirely then back on <<the download that is

And yes sorry i know im on fair access as im willing to let my account go if this isnt resolved asap i have way to much time in trying to make this work for me the way it did when it was installed . Honestly though please take a look at how many times ive called and how long those calls lasted as i stated before i have minimum 30 hrs logged on the phone with techs and at least 20 hrs thumbing through the routers settimg even disabled wifi so can use that in hopes of it working correctly ive ported it and much much more and knew nothing about all this before but i assure you i could be hired on as a installer with the knowledge ive gained over the past year

At first it all started with slow internet speeds during good data sometimes my download mbs were falling as low as 200kbs per minute i spent alot of time on the phone with techs finally got the speed issues fixed .I on good data actually run anywhere between 12mbs to 20mbs some time more or less so thats not the issue but since this fix my data does drain fast i have video data saver on one hr of streaming uses 1-2sometimes 3gb per hour even tho im set at low resolutions . But the issue that has me going crazy is before the fix i was getting slow speeds but my latency was only 500-700 range and talking over my headset wasnt an issue now it never galls below 1200 and reaches as high as 1800 my ping<<<< so even with good data everything lags everything buffers and i hear every other word over my headset with friends also maybe my NAT type saysdouble NAT since fixed never before which i also looked up and means i have 2 modems on same network only problem it i have one device only hooked to my ht2000w modem maybe this causes it to use double the data as well?

Cant argue with that im almost a year in been dealing with these issues since about 5 weeks after i signed basically made it past the date i could back out then all this started i have a minimum 30hrs logged on the phone with tech not including my time looking through router attempting port mapping exc in a chance i could figure out something they couldnt .
