I am currently having to use my phone Data because once again my Internet does not work. I am going on three weeks of service and I have been unable to use my Internet except for a total of approximately two hours. Usually I can I connect at all. This morning I was actually able to pull up Facebook get the first five or six posts with no pictures and that was it. After that nothing. I’m not paying For service I absolutely cannot use. I have been on tech-support numerous times. They told me I have a call back but I never do and even if they did I’m not at home I have a job. And we have so much data on my phone so chatting really doesn’t work for me because you have to sit there and wait for someone to pop up and it takes forever. Calling is useless. They want you to automatically pay on a credit card but I am going to have to stop that payment. I am also going to contact my Credit card company to dispute the charges for signing up in the first place. Then I’m going to cancel, contact the Federal you know who... (apparently a word not allowed in this forum?) again, and I’m not about to pay their fee for canceling. I was told by a local company that sells Hughes net and wild blue that I had a 30 day trial. So I am on two weeks tonight and I have not been able to use it once for more than a few minutes. So tonight I unplug my modem completely from the wall and then ran both web response test and speed test and instead of telling me that my machine was off it told me it worked great. Now explain to me if the modem is not even on it could possibly be getting anything ? Also every time I run a speed test it is a different city? Is that normal? ... View more

I have had hughesnet for two weeks.  I have only been able to get online 3 times for about 2-3 hours each time otherwise all I get is buffering.  I only have my roku, my iphone and a laptop.  I turn off the internet when not in use on my laptop and even on my iphone when I try to stream movies.   I checked my usage and it shows me using data but that's not possible unless you count endless buffering!  Can't get on FB, can't stream hulu, can't get my pc to even load internet explorer to try to remedy anything.  Only way I am able to write this is because I am at work!   I have tried unplugging the modem several times.  I have done speed tests that show it is working but the light on my modem says it's only receiving but not transmitting.  very very unhappy and want to cancel;  I was told I have a 30 day trial period.  Tried calling was on hold for an hour  had to hang up eventually.   ...
