Unable to send e-mail from MS Outlook
I have SMTP, set for auth., Port 587. SSL no. I have called Tech. support twice, first spoke with Cynthia who could not help me, she escalated the trouble and said a tech would respond within 24-48 hours, no one called, that was on 12/18. On 12/28 called again and spoke with James, he went through his script, and still no help. He escalated to the next level and said someone would call me before 6 PM Pacific time, no call. Can anyone here help me? I any Hughesnet people read this, give me a call, you've got my number on TT 134987958, or you should, I gave it to your folks several times. I retired from AT&T with 27 years as a second level manager, 20 of that was in Network Technical Support. We supported Regional, then national then worldwide AT&T customers. We had a world-class organization. If any of my people acted like these folks we would have had a serious discussion of their performance. Hughesnet technical support is FAR from World Class. Hello -- Since Wednesday, I have been unable to download new email in Outlook. Outgoing mail seems to not have an issue, but incoming mail is timing out with an error that subscribed folders cannot be synchronized. This happens perodically, but this is the first time that it has happened recently for a multi-day period (vs. a isolated incident that will resolve itself within an hour). I've tried a variety of IMAP port options that I've found listed online (143, 587, 993) with and without SSL, and all seem to fail to log-in to the IMAP server on account settings test ("Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection). While somewhat slow, general internet connectivity is fine via Hughest Net. We've also tried via alternate internet connection (4G cellphone hot spot), with the same results. Login via webmail does work (so it's not a password issue).9.5KViews0likes9CommentsSetting Up Thunderbird Problems
Been having a heck of a time setting up Thunderbird 78.3.1 Trying to add my existing Hughesnet email account, I keep running into this: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." For the incoming POP3 protocol, the server is: pop3.hughes.net. Port is: 110. SSL is:STARTTLS. Authentication: Normal Password. And then my username. These settings were gotten from TB: "The following settings were found by probing the given server." But no luck. The Re-Testing button keeps says everything is set up right, but when I hit the Done button I get "Unable to log in at server..." What am I doing wrong?5.5KViews1like2CommentsSecured Email time frame expectations
After speaking to representatives from both corporations, I was curious as to when Zimbra Webmail and HughesNet's programming base would communicate correctly as to provide HughesNet's customers with secure email. A Java/Flash bridge that worked should have been tested and proven prior to implementation.7.2KViews0likes4CommentsSpam
I sign into my account thru your website. I have a lot of spam daily. Are there settings that can be tweaked on your end to strengthen the spam settings? I send these spam messages to my spam folder daily. The sender just figures another way to resend them. There needs to be better filters so that they never make it to my inbox.
