Is There a Way to Stay Signed-In After Leaving the Site?

I really dislike having to sign in every time I leave the HN community page.  I often have to come back multiple times in a day and if I don't minimize the page (vs closing it), I have to sign in all over again.  I'm signing in on the same computer with the same credentials.  Can't the site know this?  I don't think I have any other websites, that require a user name and password, that I can opt for it to remember me and not require I sign in each time.

      Thanks HN for dropping the need to log in each time you visit the site!  Sooooo much more user friendly and quicker :)
