New Year, New Phishing Attempts

The holidays can be prime opportunities for scammers to send phishing emails. This new year we want to remind you to stay mindful and diligent against email scam attempts that say they are from Hughes or HughesNet.

Don't Fall for Phishing Scams

1. Hughes will never ask for your personal account information, such as user names, passwords, and account numbers in an email!

2. Never click on an unknown link. Go to the known secure company site such as myHughesNet.com and login to check/update your information or call Customer Care when needed.

3. Check for spelling errors. Legitimate messages usually do not have spelling mistakes or poor grammar. Also, never open an attachment from someone you do not recognize.

For some additional telltale signs of phishing attempts read How to Spot and Avoid Phishing Emails

We wish you a happy and safe holiday.

Sincerely,
HughesNet Customer Care
