Re: Puzzle: no internet with state code 0.0.0.
Thank you, Damian. This is really very strange. The internet came back at midnight, following the same pattern as for the last few days . I totally understand the difficulty in figuring out what may be going on when there are no errors that can give a clue. I’m at a loss myself. The modem reports no errors, and the devices recognize there’s a network but report no internet connection. Then at midnight everything comes back. And of course there’s a long holiday weekend to complicate things! Murphy’s Law. I appreciate you looking into this, and I hope someone will figure out what‘s going on. Enjoy the long weekend!8Views0likes0CommentsRe: Puzzle: no internet with state code 0.0.0.
Damian Update: At 7:58 pm the internet dropped, but the modem continues to show no errors at all. I'm using the very slow Verizon hotspot to post this update. In case it helps at all, I tried connecting directly to the modem with an Ethernet cable, but it didn't make any difference. Hopefully you can find some way of fixing this quickly...I need the internet for work. Thanks for all your help!10Views0likes2CommentsRe: Puzzle: no internet with state code 0.0.0.
Damian The dish has a clear view of the sky, with no trees or any structures blocking the line of sight. As for the modem, there's nothing blocking it at any time. Yes, the screenshot was from a laptop, but the issue happens on all the devices that are connected to the network at the time the internet drops. The devices are several Windows laptops and also iOS devices. They all lose the internet. The laptops all show the globe icon to indicate there's no internet at all. I tried several devices last night, and they were all having the same issue. I also tried them on the 5GHz radio, just in case, but that didn't connect either. The internet was down from around 8 pm to a little past midnight, then it came back like nothing had happened. During all the time the internet was unreachable, the modem showed no errors at all, and the code was 0.0.011Views0likes0CommentsRe: Puzzle: no internet with state code 0.0.0.
Damian , I have a ground dish. Starting on August 25, the internet has been dropping completely between 7 and 8 pm, and comes back between 11 and midnight. So yes, roughly the same time since the 25th. No issues at all before that. ETA: thank you for the quick response, BTW.42Views0likes5CommentsPuzzle: no internet with state code 0.0.0.
Damian , Remy , For the last 3 days, the internet has stopped working in the evenings, while the modem displays state code 0.0.0. and no errors whatsoever. I've done all the troubleshooting I can think of but nothing has helped. In the morning, the internet is back. I've tried to run speed tests but the site won't load. Could you all please see if you can figure out what's going on? Thanks!53Views0likes7CommentsRe: Hughsnet Bonus Data Plan
Basically, it's like it's always been. They don't cut you off, but the speeds are slower, especially during prime time. From https://legal.hughesnet.com/node/786 Service Features and Conditions All Service Plans feature Priority Data and unlimited Standard Data. Each Hughesnet service plan (“Service Plan”) comes with an amount of Priority Data that may be downloaded or uploaded at Service Plan speeds within a billing cycle (“Priority Data”). If a subscriber uses all of their Priority Data during a billing cycle, he or she can continue using the Service using unlimited Standard Data until their Priority Data resets. Standard Data is prioritized behind Priority Data, which means that during high traffic periods, subscribers using Standard Data may experience slower speeds, which will lead to web sites responding and loading more slowly and certain activities such as video streaming or large downloads/uploads being significantly impacted.4Views0likes0CommentsRe: Hughsnet Bonus Data Plan
Depends on the definition of unlimited. HN's data has always been unlimited, in the sense that they won't cut you off when you run out of your priority data, that is, the data package you pay for. When you run out of that, you can continue using the internet, but at very slow speeds. Hopefully Remy or a Damian can clarify this point for everybody.13Views0likes0Comments
