Join the club of customers that believed they would receive fast internet, from HughesNet, for their money. My wife and I are also counting the days remaining with this awful company. I have gotten attention when I reported their practices to the Better Business Bureau closest to their home office. We received a temporary discount. Thankful we got that. We agree that anyone that desires to get honest service for their money needs to look elsewhere.

I also used to upload videos from my drone to YouTube. Now this is also impossible. I have to use my T-Mobile cellphone to upload to YouTube.

Throw shade??? I've spoken with HughesNet support at least six times about this. It has now been SIX hours to gain 59% of this download. My DSL with Windstream never took this long, OR needed special procedures for the consumer to "make it work".

It was one month after we began our association with HughesNet, that our number finally got ported. We had to pay to keep our other service active until HughesNet completed the request.

We cannot back up to view what already started, with DISH. All of the Hughes Net customers I read about are unhappy, and have all been threatened with early termination fees. When two years have passed, HughesNet is going to witness an immense migration, and justice will be served.

Original port request was at the beginning of the month. It was "lost", we were told. I tried requesting that they cancel my account, and let me return to Windstream. I was threatened with early termination fees up to about a thousand dollars. Not an impressive company. We found out too late.

That doesn't really matter (we aren't going to get what we were offered) HughesNet is showing its true colors...just as bad, or worse than, Windstream. After contract is over, we won't return.
