I am in the same situation except for different reasons. I own a condo in a small building and thought Hughes Net would be great. After Hughes Net installed a ground mounted satallite dish a couple of months later the condo association sent me a letter indicating that I had violated the rules of HOA. I am now stuck paying for 18 more months of service because Hughes Net refuses to let me out of this contract without the termination fee which I cannot afford. I don't understand why Hughes Net cannot or will not be flexible in certain circumstances. I can even provide documentation from the HOA but the Hughes Net rep told that there is nothing they can do.
