Last few weeks service has slowed to useless on several occasions. Many times the hughes system page won't load so I finally called instead of using my phone's unlimited service. See case # above in subject. When I do get to the system page we have the green dot but the data is showing gone, but go to the token page and it does not show exceeded. Tonight I go to the regular support page to check usage and we are exceeded so I try to use a token, it will not let me. So after some reading I try to download the staus meter which I deleted months ago because I use my phone's data and let the husband use hughes. Well, the status meter won't dowload either, security cert is outdated, expired a couple weeks ago. So my problems are ... 1- need to get a place where the tokens can be applied 2-need my system page to work correctly, show orange when we're exceed, etc. It does show correctly from the support pages but most of the time they won't load anyway. 3-fix the speed so we (he) can use it.

Started 7 hrs ago, bought 3 x 3 rounds of tokens after using what I had on hand. 140 MB left before spending more money on them. And yes the first thing I did was turn off all the update settings I could find. We're not even using a win 10 machine. Having to spend this much extra money just to set up a new machine is ridiculous! Of course one could pop some speeders and stay up all night, lol. Good news, 20 minutes to free time and a couple security downloads. Coffee, more coffee. This sucks.

Trying to set up new laptop. Can't do on HughesNet. Take a good look at this netWorx chart. Went through 2 tokens and still don't have avast downloaded. Going to be a really loonnnnnggggg night.

I am trying to view our data usage for the week or month and the page just keeps spinning. I can only view one day. I am not in frap mode. I would like to know if the old link for the usage chart that showed actual up and down loads and frap still works. I need that to see when after spending a token for a refill, the data was gone in about an hour when doing nothing but facebook. Hughes providing us with this new watered down line graph is really sub par to the old chart. Some one gave me the link once but I lost it.

Speeds have been weird for me too. Last week I bought a token after doing a bunch of work that used up my data. That refill was gone in 45-60 minutes and we hadn't done anything after using the token other than facebook. I should have called immediately and had Hughes replace the token but was too tired to deal with it. About 2 weeks ago I noticed data was disappearing faster than normal. I checked all the settings on my husbands laptop to make sure he hadn't accidentally changed settings...was all good. But yes, speeds and data usage seems to off recently.

Hi Liz, I attempted to send myself a few pages today using Outlook. I had about 10 emails from 2 weeks ago still in the Outlook outbox from previous failed attempts. Today it worked using port 25. It has done this in the past...fails but eventually works at some point sending all. I do it this way because it is a ONE CLICK on the email button on firefox which is configured to use OUTLOOK. Faster the composing mail in my gmail account doing a copy/paste, and way faster than the mail interface that hughes offers (which has a header ad taking up 1/3 of the page on a small laptop). Yes I got a copy of test # 3 at 10:15, but saw it sending when I sent pages today. I believe it is caused by spam filters used by whatever company hughes contracts with like someone explained earlier. No other reason makes sense to me because when I get going I tend to send quite a bit to myself to read later and it probably trips some spam alert at hughes or the company you use for filtering mail.

Liz, confused here...you want me to troubleshoot in a program I never use? On a small laptop and last I looked at the webmail that hughes has the header took up 1/3 of the page making the program unusable for me. Even if it works there I won't be using it so why test it there? My problem is when sending from outlook. When using gmail it still works in/out using port 25.

SO I thought I would try PORT 587 like LIZ said I needed to use as the outgoing setting. PORT 587 DOES NOT WORK TO SEND MAIL EITHER. So I opened another thread for this because the other was closed and the issue IS NOT FIXED. I need HUGHES (or whatever company they use to filter spam) to not flag my stuff as spam. Thank you.

Makes you wonder sometimes if they really read your posts. Why would I change to 587 AFTER the emails went through and ....why was the fact it worked not acknowledged making the issue of IS IT 25 or 587 even more confusing.

I changed NOTHING...not the email address, not the settings and it finally worked on port 25. I will NOT change anything since it did finally send them.

Liz, IT has ALWAYS been set at port 25, works to forward mail from hughes to Gmail but does not send from hughes using Outlook. I changed nothing, I did nothing and then last night...I added another email to the growing list that failed to send and tried to send them........and they were sent. So yes....this is/was a hughes issue. Desertphile is right. It has happened before but usually worked a few minutes later....this time took 10-12 days before it finally sent them.

Odd that within a minute of your reply to this post I get an email from hughes to my gmail account with your reply, but outlook errors after a 5 minute wait. Both programs are using EXACTLY the same settings. I copied them from outlook to gmail when I set it up a couple years ago. Both worked as long as hughes was working until just recently. That is what is so puzzling to me.

It's been 110/25 for years and just quit 7 days ago. Still sends and receives from gmail with those settings. I just upped the time-out to 5 minutes and still won't work with outlook.

Cant' get mail either using HughesEmail unless I forward it to my Gmail account. Problem is Hughes is timing out every single time.

I haven't changed any settings for my mail, but it stopped sending emails a week ago when I use hughes. If I use gmail account it works, only having issues when sending from hughes account. I use outlook, never use the web mail provided by hughes since it is horribly slow and the top third of the page is a hughes header. What has changed recently that would cause this?

Looks like mine is broken. Day, week, month, and 2 months. Always the same error. Hughes really needs an hour by hour in real time. The old page was by the hour but not in real time.

I had my service go down 2-3 nights ago, called CS# to see if it was a wide spread problem, got the same message once I asked for tech support. Wasn't down too long, waited a few minutes and did a reboot. H9000 in west MI.
