Property tax recovery charge
There is a property tax recovery charge on my hugesnet bill. We already pay sales tax and tax on leased equipment. We aren't buying or leasing property from Hugesnet, we're buying or leasing equipment, there should not be a property tax charge. That's double taxation at the very least because we're already paying sales tax and equipment lease taxes. The property tax recovery charge/tax is not a tax required by the government for Internet providers. I'd like to know where Hughesnet gets the idea that it is. I can find no information, no law or mandate, relating to internet providers being allowed or required to charge consumers property tax.
Never received the $100 gift card as promised
I had contacted you about the $100 gift card that we didn't receive I'm having to do the contacting for my mother she's not good at dealing with technical issues that's why it took me so long to reply but now it says replies have been cut off for the conversation we've had service for around 8 months all payments have been on time because they're on auto pay directly from Bank I sent in the pictures of the first two invoices and it says I was not eligible for that deal she nor I was aware that we was supposed to do anything to get the $100 gift card besides making the payments on time for the first 2 months please help her get this straightened out and get her gift card for her otherwise they have a new fiber optic internet service ran down our road now it was just ran 3 months ago but we've been wanting to be loyal to HughesNet but if this problem can't be fixed the $100 that was lost will easily cover the difference in price for a year so we will be swapping service please help so I don't have to go through the hassle and you don't have to lose a customerWe purchased the equipment and need to return it. No address listed
After a month of abysmal service and no help, we are throwing in the towel and cancelling. We have purchased equipment to return. What is the return address? My husband thought he read it was in New Mexico. I can only find a Maryland address for leased equipment. I am assuming they would be different venues for returns vs. purchases.
