Connecting Netgear modem and router.
Will I still need the satellite dish if I connect the Netgear modem and router?
If you want to have Internet, yes.

On a separate note, if you're planning to use a 3rd party router with the service, and you'll be using that router's WiFi rather than the HughesNet modem's built in WiFi, it would be a good idea to disable the WiFi transmission from the HughesNet modem so that it doesn't interfere with the WiFi from the router.
