- BirdDogAssistant ProfessorIt monitors usage by device, wise choice old man. Speed is divided among devices when connected at the same time. Again, wise choice old man.

I haven't installed it yet but I downloaded the Merlin firmware.
A whopping 463 MB zip file. That's fat one for firmware.
- AmandaModeratorWhile you make this leap.. we make on in our personal lab... I got one of our older XP computers replaced with a new Acer desktop and will be installing Linux Mint on it! jerza would be proud.
- C0RR0SIVEAssociate ProfessorTo be honest, 500MB/day sounds fairly normal... How you manage to spread it out like that is beyond me. xD

That 560 MB was consumed by the router itself in the course of providing the following "services":
Malicious site Blocking
Vulnerability Protection
DNS FilteringAt nearly 100 MB per day if someone had a daily plan those services would really leave a mark.
That would have been in addition to data used by my computers and devices.

You would call traffic monitoring by MAC address pointless on a data capped service ?
Do you see how many complaints there are related to "missing data" most of which are likely rooted by activity of wireless devices ?
Speaking of speed I have been getting 19 to 27 Mbps. Not bad by satellite standards.
- GWAdvanced TutorThat's huge. The FW update for my ASUS was 6 MB.
- BirdDogAssistant ProfessorLol, and there it is once again. Me thinks you have the data to spare. :)
It is top of the line and most likely has lots of bells and whistles my old school RT-56R does not. I think time to change screen name to McDuck.
Um, 44 MB according to my screen: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/6tx06ijxrcctn/RT-AC3100 - debbie.jean.broAdvanced TutorNice! Congratulations!
