MagicJack

My house phone is plugged into my modem via ethernet cable. I am able to hear them clearly but the person on the other end of the line cannot hear me. MagicJack says all that Hughesnet needs to do is change the UDP ports 5060 to 5070 on the modem. I dont know how big of issue this is for Hughesnet, it sounds simple

Thanks

Unfortunately, 3rd party VOIP systems do not tend to work well with HughesNet due to the high latency inherent to geostationary satellite internet.  Because of this, magicJack likely will not work properly.

HughesNet does offer their own Voice service, however, which is specifically tailored to work with their service.
