Setting up a cellspot for tmobile
Hello all, I recently got a place where my does not work. T-Mobile sent me a mini-tower that works off the internet so I can make calls. It seems I need to set up UDP ports but I am not sure ho...
Sadly, due to the latency of Satellite Internet, micro-cells like what you have typically will not work. You also can't open or forward TCP or UDP ports as you are behing CGN (Carrier Grade Nat).
If you hooked it up and it's not working, there's not really anything that can be done.
If you have a small somewhat weak signal outside, you might want to look into trying a Cellular Signal Booster such as the weBoost Home 4G 470101 Cell Phone Signal Booster
I don't understand why that booster would work but not the mini cell tower? Also, I have the ports open via tech support at Hughesnet... Still not working though.
