I desperately reached out yesterday via chat (from elsewhere) and was told that "I was informed to inform you that the issue has been sent to the corporate office and that the will be notifying you from their office". That's was literally what was sent - right before I asked for a transcript twice and was told "Do to security concerns we do not email out information" Again verbatim. Also was told on FB messenger that this would be addressed and haven't heard a peep since last week. Nor have my messages been read. Please put me in direct contact with someone who can address this.Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for Help I will let you know. Hopefully on Wednesday. Will they be able to communicate with me via email or text (VOIP Text)? Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpI understand what you're saying and Im not disagreeing with the possibility - I just need someone who as intimate knowledge of these modems to tell me what settings could be affecting both wifi and ethernet, download speeds only - and weren't an issue 3 or 4 weeks ago - across 4 different platforms. Based.on all those variables, it's a lot more likely that ONE device (the modem) is the culprit. I've read about the modem resetting dangers, and I won't do it until I'm asked to - but at this point I just want any kind of movement besides them continuing to test and tell me everything is ok on their end. Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpThanks Mark - but has to be the modem, IMO - unless Firefox doesn't work correctly with HN and is screwing up the speed tests. But that wouldn't explain every single app / program on every single device struggling with DL speeds. All the devices being used there are fine elsewhere and were previously fine on that modem. Only thing that could have change to affect wired, wireless and 4 devices - would be the modem / router. Unless there is some bizarre electromagnetic field that is interfering with wired and wireless transmission speeds.Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpRight. I'm saying after 2 weeks of this and no progress towards a solution or even any ideas that I'm aware of, isn't that a logical step for them take?Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpWill do. Can we not try to reset the modem to factory? Seeing at it was working fine whe installed?Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpWhat's ridiculous is that it's taken this long to get to a real person Liz Who's trying to help - because they cannot provide tech support over email or chat (when speeds are slow). GabeU you have been very helpful and I thank you for that. As far as my bad attitude goes, others have reached out to me about the absurdity of this process. I think it's also ridiculous that the best support they can offer is in a public forum. No, I don't have patience for this process. My full time ISP is full of local kids who can fix things over the phone in minutes - typically because I am savvy and I do all of the basics before involving anyone. Yes, satellite IS is more complicated - I get that - but the base logic I am saying over and over is sound. The first issue to be dealt with is the DL performance of the ethernet connected device - and Liz said the same before. Now we're back to wifi issues with other devices? I wish you no ill will, I know you have both tried to help (and have done so in some instances) but I feel like we are staring the root, known issue in the face and taking the loooonnnggg way around the barn. I am not mad at Liz - I know she has to feed the engineers - but that doesn't mean I am not going to express my disgust with this process and try to stay on point. Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for Helpmaratsade Kindly keep your opinion to yourself - and you certainly don't need to start telling me what to do. I'll $&,@ well express my angst at this situation and process if I so please. You are such a HN apologist. I'd prefer that you recuse yourself from this conversation entirely after this and prior comments you've made. Don't need your static. Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpLiz $&,@,@ well my lengthy reply disappeared so I'll have to redo all of that later. I'll say this in response to everything: 1) None of these devices have any issues anywhere else in the world except for on this network. 2) I have tried most all of this - I have even tried another wireless router 3) My phone is UTD according to my phone. Android agrees. 4) ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS IS THAT MY LAPTOP, CONNECTED VIA ETHERNET IS DL WELL BELOW 1MBPS!!! This is ridiculous. There can't be any better proof that there is a real issue than what I have provided with the logs thus far. All of the other discussion about different devices and URLs is completely wasting my time. Re: Speed issues, can't stay on chat for HelpTo be frank (not Drebin) the testmy results are the absolute best evidence that the slow speeds are real and not a app issue on my end. I understand what you need to make sure my HW is UTD - but beyond that, testmy tells the tale pretty accurately
