I called the proper #, and after a 3 way call between HughesNet, my new phone provider, and me HuhesNet said they would cancel both services. There was a phone porting issue which was resolved on this call. I just realized no mention was made of returning equipment. My monthly end date is 4/22/18. Can someone let me know that both services were indeed cancelled and my return box will be sent on or before 4/22? I do not have great confidence in the people I dealt with in the phone call, but the moderators here seem to get things done. SolvedRe: Advice from the professors! If I am willing to tolerate lower speeds if I go over my data limits, do you recommend staying with Gen 4 over Gen 5? It seems like I saw a Professor post that said not to go to Gen 5. Advice from the professors! I have Gen 4 Prime Plus, 10 GB, for $59.99 month. I had to call today because I have not been able check usage or buy tokens since end of December. No replies from online moderators. From my call today, they say they are aware of issue and working on it. They can not add tokens(which I am willing to pay for) from their end either. What they want to do is upgrade me to Gen 5, 10 GB, which they say will be $49.99, with a 1 year contract. After 1 year price will stay the same. Then I asked about the Gen 5 Max plan, 20 GB. He said it would only be $69.99. The Gen 4 price for this plan is $129.99! I told him I needed to research it, but I do not get any offers for Gen 5 when I go to Shop/ Upgrade tab. This deal just seems too good to be true. Can you help? Also, how can I get these "unbelievable" terms in writing? I usually only buy $9 tokens per month, but I can't even do that. I'm pretty sure they may be trying to make me upgrade. Re: Usage not showing I check it under my account and usage. I usually check it daily, but it still has this error message day 3. Usage not showing For the past 2 days I have not been able to check my usage. I get the message "Bandwith cannot be checked at this time. (CC:Fap-1). SolvedDo not like new Community board I have checked the Community message board daily for topics that may help me get the best Hughes Net experience. This new way of seeing messages is not conducive to seeing new/recent discussions. I liked that the newest conversations always showed up first on the Community page. I also don't care for the new way of viewing usage history. If I saw a big jump in usage, I could check with my family members to see what they may have done to cause the jump. Maybe I'm missing something on how to read this new graph, but I haven't been able to view anything about this topic in the community. The way the discussions are displayed now does not feel fluid. I am going to have to look at everyone's ideas to see where data is going. We don't use on demand, Netflix, etc. It's just two computers and a tablet. I do a lot of web searching, many times during Bonus Bytes early a.m. hours. I have used 27% of my time in 7 days. I did have a problem the other day with Direct Tv connecting to my internet, which I never do. After a half hour on the phone troubleshooting, they had me disconnect an Ethernet cable to get it to disconnect. Normal process to disconnect would not work. Could just being connected to Direct TV for several hours eat up data?Re: Upgrading planGuess I'm not going to upgrade. I went to "My offers" and they want $50 more per month for additional 5000 MB. It was only $20 more if I had taken the higher plan when I signed up. Live and learn.
