What equipment needs to be returned when closing account?
We are moving and will have other options for ISPs, so will be closing our account. What equipment needs to be returned? I know about the modem and radio from the dish, but saw another post that mentioned a power pack? Not sure what that is and where to find it?Solved2.3KViews0likes1CommentCancelation & Final bill
So I have cancelled my internet and my final bill will be around $300 this is because somehow I skipped a month. Still planning on paying it however I have two problems. First off when I moved nearly a year ago I was never able to get my stuff this includes the router. How long do I have to return it? I'm looking at October before I go and get my stuff. In addition I will not be able to pay my bill in full. I was wondering how much time do I have to pay it off. I was thinking about making Bi-Weekly payments of $100 minimum. And I need a estimate for how much everything is going to be just in case it's easier to pay everything rather than going across the state and back just to return the router and modem.2.3KViews0likes2CommentsH.N Fraud
My internet was set up two months ago Beginning was as slow as it is now. I was sold and told "great fast internet that I can stream videos and have my cameras connected to" "30gb of satellite data is the same as hundreds of LTEgb Data" I was then told my internet is slow because it is winter where I live. Now the weather is fine and they have confirmed the satilite is receiving a full signal. I spoke with 4 different tech support agents on the phone no one could help. I spoke with 2 people that said they were managers that sounded like they were in a bar they said they did "different' tests and to call back in a couple days if it didn't solve my issues. I called back talked to multiple tech support agents again that did the same things and that I had to tell them what was going on again and again and again. They then sent a tech to my business. They replaced every single piece of hardware and nothing worked to fix it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My speed is 0.02mbps Average!!!!!!!!!!!!! testmy.net gives me a download speed of 0.02 mbps with one device connected. The tech was here in person and got the exact same problem. Hey called tech support once again for me and was on the phone with them for an hour. They said no one has ever seen this and to wait two hours. I then called after I waited a whole 6 hours. I was sent to 3 different people and after an hour and a half made it to a nice manager that said he was going to wave my cancelation fee of almost $800 thats along with the $300 visa I was told I would get if I signed up. The manager sent me to an account manager that said I had to still pay the $800 Then he said I needed to go back to tech support AGAIN. I talked to three more people after that and was told now I need to wait two days again. This is outrageous. I have contacted legal counsel and will spend as much money as it takes to make sure I will not have to pay a cancelation fee for 0.02mbps average speed. Ive been lied to hung up on and transferred at least 30 times and everyone acts like they have no idea whats going on and pretends theres nothing they can do to help or that they don't know anyone that can help. THIS IS FRAUD. FBI AND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WILL NOT STOP RECEIVING PROOF OF FRAUD UNTIL MY INTERNET IS DISCONNECTED AND MY ACCOUNT IS DELETED I am a reasonable person and signed up for internet around 40mbps I am getting 0.02 thats 99.98% slower than the customer average. I am available anytime of the day or night. This is illegal. I signed a contract for a service that I am not receiving. You are going against the contract not me.12KViews1like20Commentsreturn modems
I had long message history with Liz, then I read at bottom of one of her posts unsolicited mail may not be returned It forced me to choose a label but that has not occured... So I am here also.... I must move...Covid...land owner lost big bucks job must sell property. I have besides the working modem 2 more in my possession, Liz set that up but they sent it twice...I was supposed to have received only one. But was sent two. When tech was here he said wayyyyy out here I would keep the other one you never know. So....the boxes had labels for return and that was 3 years ago and they no longer exist. I am on social security, I will starve if charged for these. So Can you please help me to get a new return label for these 2 modems and power plugs, so I am credited with their return, plus I have no clue where they go...unless hughes no longer wants 7000 series stuff. I take it Hughes sends out some box to send dish and the rest back? Thanks TimSolved3.6KViews0likes4Commentscancelations
I called to cancel my service, I found a provider who offered a better service. I was given a case number and told I would receive a confimation email and a box would be sent to me with instructions and a label where I would return my modem and the eye on my dish. Ten days later I have not received either. I called back and was told the boxes are ready to ship and would arrive on 3/20. If I had not called, would they have ever arried and would I have been charged for the modem? I feel like I've been taked advantage of. Well lets see if the return boxes ever arrive. I'm not impressed.2.1KViews0likes2CommentsRefund should have been returned Nov 2nd
HughesNet decided to use my money for a month to add to the interest in their company account. Refer to previous tactics/excuses/passing the buck to other representatives. If you don't deposit my refund, I will report you to the Better Business Bureau. One customer that's had enough of your crap.7KViews0likes11CommentsCharged for equipmen I returned a month ago.
My automatic payment went through this morning, with an extra charge of $125 for unreturned equipment fees. The tracking on the returned modem showed delivered to HughesNet a month ago. I don't have the tracking number, anymore, but I know HughesNet has the ability to look it up. They paid for the UPS return label. I can't afford this and I don't appreciate HugehsNet's incompetence. I called about this shortly after it was elivered to HughesNet, because I got an email stating it had not been received. I was told not to worry about it.Solved3KViews0likes2CommentsEquipment Return
I literally spoke to a customer service person a couple of hours ago about cancelling my service. He told me about the box being sent for the equipment return. I specifically asked if someone would need to climb into the roof for the dish and this person told me no, that the dish could be disposed of. Now I'm reading on here that not only is there something on the dish that has to be returned, but I'm going to be charged $200 if I don't return it. Let me guess, I'll also be charged a service fee if someone has to come out to remove the dish? This is ridiculous and a pretty sorry way to do business.Solved12KViews0likes4Comments
