New device suggestion
Last year, I bought a new computer and as it synced with my "cloud" accounts, it churned through my HughesNet monthly data in less than 24 hours. Earlier this week, the wife & I bought new phones. Same thing. They blew through our monthly data in less than a day while they synced and downloaded apps. I think it would be a great idea to be able to log into my HughesNet account once a year or maybe once every 6 months for top tier customers and check a box that says I just bought a new device and the next 24 hours of data being transferred doesn't count against my monthly usage. Viasat
Received a flyer in the mail over the weekend from Viasat (formerly Exede.) For an extra $10/month I'll get a faster download speed and I won't getslowed down untill I reach 100 GB of data instead of my current plan which is 50GB. When do you plan to offer similar service upgrades? I'm quite satisfied with your service and don't wish to change providers. Thank you Liz. I called the number youposted today and was again told that uprading to Gen 5 is not an option for me until sometime in April and that I would have to call back then. I entered my address and got an error message too, so I called and spoke with a representative today. I live in SW Michigan and was told that Gen 5 isn't available in my area yet. I should call back in a month or maybe 2. Not exactly the answer I was looking for. I can't believe thesatellite still isn't ready yet.24KViews0likes9Comments
