It's crippling to lose access to Microsoft/.gov sites (work, tax payments, etc.). I know problems are inevitable with any Internet service. It makes you realize how dependent we are on Internet resources. Yes it's fixed! I live about about 30 miles south of TANatPATS, had the same problem, and have been watching this thread- although some other sites that end in .gov were also affected. I notice the moderators ask people to use testmy.net. I just wondered what the difference is. Bears, moose, and elk are big and strong! And young bears are very curious, that one also rolled a 50 pound salt lick around on the ground like it was a golf ball. He also left pawprints (7 feet off the ground) on the sidelight windows beside our front door, and tore up the pumpkin that was on the front porch. Lessons learned, no more pumpkins left outside to decorate or salt licks inside the fenceline. Just a very late thought from another remote location user. We had to have our pole mounted (concrete set) Hughes dish realigned once, we blamed the neighbor's loose dog but it might have been a curious bear, as we had a heavy pole mounted bird feeder pushed over by a bear at about the same time (he left signs...). Hi folks, Can anyone give me some insight into how much data IPads use over WiFi, in general, compared to a PC? This is with no video or audio streaming. More, less, about the same? Is there a way to tell how much data an IPad is using over WiFi? I have not found this in Settings, and the HughesNet data usage tool does not differentiate PC/IPad use.
