Today was terrible... Disconnections every fifteen minutes for a lot of the day. It always takes around a minute to a couple minutes for the internet to come back online. The problems lately have something to do with higher load during winter break?

Ok, downloaded new drivers off my motherboard manufacturers site. Works now! Will see how the disconnect issues are on Monday directly connected via LAN cable. I do know some disconnects are the WiFi going out. Which is odd because it’s a foot from the PC!

Well, I got my yellow Ethernet cable to work with a old windows 7 laptop. My new fully updated windows pc still shows “Unidentified Network” with the same cable.

That was odd.... Last disconnect my WiFi on my pc disconnected... Modem is one foot from my PC. I have not been able to get the Lan to work for this modem. Tried three different computers.

Today was much better. Few connection freezes that lasted a few seconds without disconnecting software. And, one disconnect. I stare at my screen for five hours straight with live data streaming in via UDP broadcast so I know if there is a problem for even a couple seconds.

Have constant issues with my finance software disconnecting again, and other apps cannot hold connections either. Radio swap out the tech did didn’t solve the issue. That probably was just a good day. What exactly is going on? Is there problems in routing between the internet and your gateway right now or something?

Well, guy came out and swapped out the radio. System is working smoothly now. Still some red x’s in the system status, but no problems with the internet now. Messages actually send out every time on messenger/iMessage, etc!

If you need to reduce the speed to stabilize the connection, that would be fine. I use finance software that just needs a stable connection, but still even works on 56k.

I switched the the modem onto its own power circuit separate from any computer hardware and took it off the power backup. See if you can communicate with it now? Oh, still getting a red X. https://imgur.com/a/GW7yE Power has been very stable at this today. https://imgur.com/a/rqrFF Backup hasn’t needed to level it up/down at all. It clicks when it does. Usually that only happens during storms. I think you can cross out power as an issue. It worked perfect weeks ago during power outages on backup power.
