Thahks Amanda, mine is working for at least 3 hours now without an issue. Good bet is that its fixed now. Thanks for your attention to our probelm. Re: HN out of service over 22% in a 12-hour period with clear skies. 12.7.1 State Code is killing us. Yours looks very much the same as mine over here in SE lousisana. I can barely get on long enought to post anything. We all seem to have the same issues, with the only common link being Huges Net. I am beginning to think there is a network problem. I didn't bother to worry about this during the bad weather we had last week thinking it was weather and I wonder how many others there are out there in our area with Hughes net down? Re: HN out of service over 22% in a 12-hour period with clear skies. 12.7.1 State Code is killing us. I've have a very similar experence, it started about 12/6 or 12/7 when recent bad weather began in my area ( Louisiana) which finally culminated with snow 12/8. Weather cleared 12/9 and has been blue skies since. During the weather leading up the snow (very cloudy and light rain)my internet was down about 90% of the time. I thought my internet would come back after the ckear out but it only has recovered marginally. I have tried all the sugested fixes including by passing my router, trying another cat5 connection from computer to modem, nothing has fixed it. It still comes and goes randomly. I am on sat. XVII and beam 53, gateway 7. I get the same code, 12.7.1 and status as follows, operational state = down,IPGateway Assocaition state= "associating" , TCP Acceleration = down.My signal strenght shows 112-115. I have check the coax connections for tightness except on the roof. I am at the end of "helping myself". Hopefully the monitors will put me in the "needs help" list......Help!!!! Re: can't connect to gmail or att email accounts yes it appears to be fixed. gmail working , thanks for fixing this, it was driveing me crazy. Re: can't connect to gmail or att email accounts no, my gmail is still not connectiing Re: can't connect to gmail or att email accounts Liz, Thanks for the info. Maybe you are right sbout MS. 6/14/2017 windows update installed the following on my win 7 pc. Office Suite KB3203436 , KB3191837, KB3191828 power point KB312888, Office compatablity service pack3 KB3203438 Word KB3203441 Outlook KB3191898 malicious software removal tool KB890830 some other stuff; KB4022719, KB31183047 this does sorta fit the timeline for my issues. maybe these were issued a few days before, but could be? Re: can't connect to gmail or att email accounts is there any way to bring this issue to the attention of somebody at Hughes net? Whats the chance my two pc's both suddenly stopped getting email, then bypassing my router sort's rules that out, setting up another email client (outlook) again points the blame away from client issues. I think huges net is becomming my prome suspect. It will be interesting to see how long your router fix will work. Mine was short lived. can't connect to gmail or att email accounts about two weeks ago I started getting smtp "timed out" when sending gmail. About a week ago I could not connect to my att mail aand then my gmail addresses. I have reset all those acconts tryine std. server settings for them, both imap and pop. Then I finally was able to get a gmail to setup and even send and recieve by bypassing my router and putting the cat5 into the hughes net "modem". Now, today the two gmails don't work and won't connect to the server even bypassing the router. this is common to both my desk tops, both running win7. During this time there have been no win7 updates but there have been a few Microsoft Security Essentials updates. I am wondering if there could be something wrong with my Hughesnet connection, since that is common to all the bad stuff that has happened. ( except the router which not doesnot seem a suspect. Since this started I have never been able to reconnect via my email clients (thunderbird and outlook 2007) but can connect to all the accounts via the web. This did prompt me to finally set up my hughes.net email which works fine all the time. I Any thoughts? Solved
