Voice service and Internet will not work with Cisco ATA after Storm, Internet Spotty Through Modem
Hello~Last night (4/1) during and after storm, our internet and voice were down. All cell phones and laptops work with HT2000W Modem powered up and ATA Router powered down/disabled, but when we try to connect cisco ATA router (SPA 122) for our phone service following instructions in HughesNet Voice quick start up guide we lose service. Our service will also fail after 10-15 minutes with our laptops and cell phones through our modem, the service light will just go out on our modem and we have to power everything off and on again. While we have had voice issues over the years with it not working, it usually resolves itself after unplugging or time. Could something have happened after the storm? Our voice router is probably 7 years old. Not sure what else to do! Thank you4.5KViews0likes10CommentsCannot connect to Internet I’m unable to access system from the 192.168.42.1 dashboard
I currently do not have any connection lights on my ht2000w router besides the lan light. I have tried to reset it by unplugging and hard reset on the back of the router neither have worked.Solved5.7KViews0likes4CommentsConection fails every few minutes using NetGear Wireless adapter
I just started with HughesNet a couple of weeks ago. For one of my computers, the connection stops every few minutes, so I have to manually switch between the hug2g and hug5g to reconnect. It's an old Dell 2005 XPS 400, and its network card (physical LAN connection) does not work with Windows 10, so I use a NetGear Wireless-N Dual Band adapter to connect to the Hughes modem. The NetGear adapter worked ok with Comcast but not with Hughes. My other computer is hooked up to the Hughes modem by cable, and it works fine. I have two questions: (1) Any suggestions about how to make my NetGear Wireless adapter's connection to Hughes more reliable, and (2) if I get a new computer to replace my old Dell, and it has only wireless LAN (no physical LAN), can I expect a better wireless connection to Hughes than I get with the NetGear Wireless adapter? That is, are wireless connections to Hughes generally ok, EXCEPT when using a NetGear Wireless adapter?Solved4.7KViews0likes6CommentsFrequent Disconnects
I almost hate to post this since my internet speeds have improved immensely from less than 1 to 17Mbs most of the time. Hate to jinx it. Ever since the improvement in performance, I have been getting disconnected shortly after rebooting my pc and opening a web browser or email. I would estimate that this happens 80% of the time. After I reconnect, it will happen again about 50% of the time, this can occur immediately or within 10 minutes. Is there some setting that I can check and modify?Solved3.3KViews0likes2Comments
