Email with a hacking attempt on your Account

This is to remind all of you out there to scrutinize you email and account information routinely.  I got an email on Sunday with the exact same platform as the HughesNet account platform, saying my account was in default and I needed to give them my account and credit card information immediately, or lose my service.  I knew right away my account was up to date and with one pass over the return email address with the mouse, you could see it was bogus.  If you get anything like this, ignore it and forward it to abuse@hughesnet.com.  Keep your eyes open.

No company would send a legitimate email like that, but people who get those need to call the company's 800 number to verify the email's legitimacy before giving personal information.
