You don't have to type in the password whenever you boot. If you type the following into the command prompt, uncheck (or check, then uncheck if it's already unchecked when it opens) the "user must enter name and password to use this computer", and fill in your password (two places), you'll never have to enter it when the computer starts. It will just go to the desktop automatically.
Type the following into the command prompt...
control userpasswords2
