Unfair cancellation policy
I have had Hughes net for a whopping 5 days and I've had to get a technician out here twice. Of those 5 days, I have only had Internet access for 2 of those days. I want to cancel the service but I am unwilling to pay that $400. That is ridiculous. When I called with the issue the first time, they said the that there was bad weather in the area, but the only place I saw any bad weather was literally 2 counties away! So you're telling me that every time my dog sneezes, it's gonna mess with my internet? They told me to wait an hour and they'd call back to see if it was fixed. They never called. I called the next day because it wasn't better, so they sent out the technician and he replaced the modem. Worked okay for about 3 hours. The next morning, no Internet again! Now the tech is out here trying to move the dish somewhere it'll get reception but he can't get a clear signal. This is ABSURD. Anyone have advice?

Post your situation under myAccount and Billing. Explain and provide context, and then wait for one of the Hughesnet corporate reps to reply to you. This section where you posted is specifically about this website, not about the service, so you won't get a reply from the reps here. Only the reps here can make certain account decisions, so you will need to work with them.

This crap is ridiculous!!! Don’t waste your money on this crap! Cloudy skies you’re screwed! A regular antenna would work better!!! Customer service sucks, the whole thing sucks! Try talking to them you can’t understand the person, and the buffering is CRAP too!!! I cannot wait to get this crap out of my house! Buying the flippin tokens which is a total rip off and a joke, having to buy more just to be able to TRY and watch something! Thoroughly disgusted with this CRAP!!!IOW, you never bothered to research what you were signing up for. That's on you.
