I am considering Hughesnet Voice
Just some basic questions:
I have a landline - can I have the Hughesnet Voice use a similar telephone number with a different area code so that both lines are active with similar numbers but a different area code? Not really important, but having a similar number would be nice.
If I recall correctly, Hughesnet can send out something to plug into the modem and I am up and going pretty quick - is that right? I think it was just a few steps to setup if I remember right?
Can my current billing period be maintained - maybe prorate for the first month?
Thanks

MrBuster,
Thank you for reaching out! We'd love to assist in getting you more information regarding our VOIP services!
While we wish we could, we are unable to use a specific number that is identical to your current one, with a different area code.
You're exactly right! A VOIP device would be sent to your home with instructions, and the device is essentially plug and play. Your billing period will be automatically prorated depending on when you purchase the service!
If you have any additional questions, please let us know! You can find out more by checking out https://www.hughesnet.com/get-started/hughesnet-voice!
Thanks,
Remy

Ok - sounds good. A new phone number is fine. I assume I can just hit 'purchase' for a plan on
https://my.hughesnet.com/en/shop/hughesnetvoice to get started. All of my billing information will be the same and my internet service will remain the same - just adding the phone service, correct?
Roughly, how long will it take to get the plug and play equipment out that plugs into the Hughesnet modem?
Thanks!

MrBuster,
That would be correct! It normally takes 3-5 business days for the device to be received. Please let us know how it goes!
Thanks,
Remy
