Unfortunately, I now have Florida waterfront property. The water is now about 50' up on one corner of my 2 1/2 acres. It's even starting to show signs of life, waterfowl, pond skimmers, frogs, and tadpoles. Fish, gators, and otters can't be too far behind.
This area is usually bone dry. According to the old timers around here, there hasn't been water there since 1998, when it stayed there for a year or so.
We old Florida Crackers often make fun of people from up north that come down here and buy waterfront property at ridiculously high prices.
For all you guys up north, it's a real bargain at $1,999,999.99! :>)>
