My elderly father has past away. Before he died he gave me access to the Hughesnet account. All account details I have; I manage anything with his Hughenet service. On April 13, 2026 I called to cancel all services. I had an interaction with a phone "support" person that was very distressing and disturbing. He said I need to file a death certificate. I can't tell you how much time I have spent trying to download a document-- once the site was down, once it doesn't recognize the information-- instructs me to please call the number-- the same one where I was treated rudely. I don't need this on top of all the other stress over the loss. I GET NO HELP -- We notified Hughesnet we want to close this account on April 13, 2026. Period. What **bleep**.13Views0likes1CommentRoof damage
So I had the satellite for internet installed by a HughesNet contractor April 2025 on my dad's 20-year-old deck flat roof. There's been some heavy rains & I've noticed that the roof is now significantly leaking around the installation site as well as along the outside, which was not an issue before. How do I go about getting HughesNet to help pay for the repairs or replacing of this? I'm in Michigan so the statute is 3 years from the date of damage or from the discovery. At the time of installation, the contractor also "drilled by mistake" in the roof & claimed he patched it. There's a small amount of bowing in that spots that he "patched". Local roofing company says they have to replace the entire roof of the deck as the damage is done. The smaller satellite to the right has minimal leaking but that's not from HughesNet. https://imgur.com/a/YurU13cSolved70Views0likes3CommentsHazardous Expectations
Hi, I’ve reviewed my agreement. It states I’m responsible for returning equipment, but it does not require me to perform hazardous roof work or pay for professional removal. The required equipment is mounted on my roof, which I cannot safely access. I will not risk injury to remove it myself. Additionally, the agreement does not state that I have the option to pay for a technician to remove the equipment. Based on the terms provided, it appears my only options are to remove the equipment myself or be charged for unreturned equipment, which is not reasonable given the safety risk involved. I also do not believe I should be held responsible for paying a $100 fee for a technician to remove equipment installed in a hazardous location. If HughesNet requires that equipment returned, please arrange for safe removal at no cost. Otherwise, confirm that I am not responsible for returning roof-mounted components or being charged a technician fee. Thank you.103Views0likes4CommentsBest internet around
I have had hughesnet internet since last september in 2025 and i would have thought that every time it storms the satellite would go out but no it didnt most of the time it stayed on only a few times it went out due to lightning a week ago due to high wind i lost satellite connection which downed my internet for a day and a half lol pretty much 2 weeks after i upgraded to hughesnet fusion but that was only because the dish moved in the 50 mph wind i found instead of having a tech come over if you go on the apple store if you have wifi they have satellite finder apps and hughesnet satellite in the sky is Jupitor 3 the app located that in the sky after several tries lol but i realigned everything and got perfect signal other than that its great service i did take the two billing invoices and sent them in to the hughesnet rebate center waited 3 or 4 weeks and yes i got my 100 dollar rebate on a prepaid credit card so the rebate does work it is a real legit thing52Views0likes0CommentsTerrible wifi
This is the WORST internet provider I have ever had. It is out more often than working. It is extremely slow. It takes me 5 minutes just to load my emails. I have no service at my house and rely on my internet for communication and it is extremely disappointing. Idk if everyone can see this or just current customers but if you havnt switched to Hughes net yet DONT. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT. #disapointing119Views0likes1CommentVery dissatisfied
I have been a Hughes Net customer for 2 yrs. I pay on time and never miss. I came into a financial change in my life and reached out to Hughes Net for disconnection. I was told that I had to pay a $340.00 fee to disconnect (even though I have been a member for 2 yrs, honored my contract) Of course I was given the choice to suspend account, or a discount on services (I get it, they have a job to do as well). I kindly explained that again, my financial situation has changed and I needed to reconstruct my spending. I pleaded with them, I asked if they could forgive half of the disconnection fee. Long story short, I had to pay the $342.49 or continue to pay the monthly fee for the next 18 months (again, what part of the plea did they not understand about a financial change in my life) I kindly apologized for my mishap in life and paid the disconnection fee (I did not want to have to worry in 6 mos, 18 mos, whatever to remember to cancel service, I have enough to worry about at this time. I have never been made to feel so used. I would not recommend this service. So sad that a multi million dollar business can not at least forgive half. So sad.336Views1like2CommentsTerrible service and lied about the gift card.
Not only is this the worst service I have ever had, but the whole $200.00 gift card is a scam as well. You have to go to a specific site and apply for what they promised you. Upload your 1st 2 invoices, only to be denied. Then you are told you have to call. The person I spoke with was VERY rude and arrogant. He told me I did not fill out the request for the promotion within the specific time frame? WHAT TIME FRAME? I AM STILL A CUSTOMER PAYING FOR THE SERVICE!!! Bottom line is, it's 100% BS. An outright lie to get customers. I can't wait until my area gets another option!!!196Views0likes1Comment
