Streaming problem
Everything that the guy above has mention we have went through with the advanced tech support. And nothing has been done. Nothing changes. At least not for us.
Good luck to you!

Due to the pandemic and so many people stretching the satellite system to capacity, streaming has taken a big hit, and it's likely not going to get better any time soon. There is likely not much, if anything, that HughesNet can do for you at this time when it comes to streaming. You can try to pause the Video Data Saver, but there's no guarantee this will help you during this time, and it will also eat up your data allowance very quickly, so it's not really a long term solution. If you have non-satellite internet options in your area, you may need to consider those.

We haven't event nearly reached our data, and it continues to buffer. Its super annoying. We cant even watch a whole movie with out it stopping every 5 seconds. And we thought that going from the 20 to the 30 might help also. It dont, save your money. Haha! I just think it is just an expensive amount of money to pay for a service that doesn't really work. - GabeU5 years agoDistinguished Professor IV
As an alternative to streaming, you may want to look into PlayOn Cloud. Your chosen streamed item is recorded to a cloud based DVR, then converted to an mp4 file, which you can then download manually, automatically or by scheduling. You can then watch the item on any device that can play mp4 files, which most can these days, including Smart TVs directly from a USB flash drive or USB external hard drive. There's no buffering because you're watching it from an already fully downloaded file. The file also never expires.
