Cant get internet going again

WE ARE NEW CUSTOMERS BUT AS OF NOW NOT SURE THAT WE EVEN WANT TO CONTINUE BEING ONE IN LITERALLY LESS THAT 2 MONTHS WE HAVE HAD MORE ISSUES THAN WHAT WE MADE VERY CLEAR FROM THE VERY BEGINNING #1 WE ARE NOT TECH SAVVY TO THE EXTEND OF BEING ABLE TO SET IT ALL UP SECURELY AND FOR IT TO RUN EFFICIENTLY AS IT SHOULD WE WERE INFORMED AND ASSURED THAT THE TECHNICIAN WOULD HANDLE THE INSTALLATION AND THAT HE WOULD SHIW US HOW IT SHOULD ALL WORK THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WE ARE PAYING FOR NORTON DEVICE PROTECTION AND WE TO SAY THE LEAST HAVE NOT MADE IT AS FAR ASEVEN BEING ABLE TO INSTALL ANYTHING ON ANY DEVICES AT ALL AND HONESTLY WE FEAR THAT OUR NETWORKHAS YET AGAIN BEEN TAKEN OVERBY SOMEONE ELSE AND WE ARE AT THE MERCY OF SOMEONE ELSE DECIDING IF AND WHEN WE CAN USE SERVICES THAT WE ARE BEING CHARGED FOR WE HABENT HAD INTERNET NOW AT ALL FOR 2 DAYS CANT EVEN GET IT TO CONNECT HOOK DIRECT VIA ETHERNET CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM BEFORE WE CANCEL SERVICE

    You can cancel at any time, but since you’ve only had the account for 2 months, there will be a cancellation fee of $400.

     

    >> in literally less that 2 months we have had more issues

     

    What issues have you had?

     

    >> we made very clear from the very beginning #1 we are not tech savvy to the extend of being able to set it all up securely and for it to run efficiently as it should we were informed and assured that the technician would handle the installation and that he would shiw us

     

    The installer installs the system and gives you an overview. Their job does not include teaching you how to be more tech savvy. Maybe you have a tech savvy neighbour or relative who can help you?

     

    >> we are paying for norton device protection and we to say the least have not made it as far aseven being able to install anything on any devices at all

     

    What have you been trying to install? Do you get any error messages?

     

    >> we fear that our networkhas yet again been taken overby someone else

     

    What makes you think that?

     

    >> we are at the mercy of someone else deciding if and when we can use services

     

    What makes you say that?

     

     >> we habent had internet now at all for 2 days cant even get it to connect hook direct via ethernet can someone please help us resolve this problem before we cancel service 

     

    Do you get an error message?

     

    Again, you can cancel any time by calling the customer service line. There will be a fee of $400.  Another option is to wait until one of the Hughesnet reps on this site gets back to you and helps you troubleshoot. You can also call the 800 number and speak to a phone rep, who will run troubleshooting steps with you.  None of these people can teach you how to use the computer, though, or how to install software; that is for you to learn and do, and I hope you know someone who can help you with this.
