I sent in a note with the "study from home" link on the community page but also just need help asap to be able to work from home. My issue is stemming from the vpn on my work computer, so I'm told by customer service, and it is not allowing me to even log on to my work software. If i have the internet cord plugged into my personal laptop the modem light is green but the work computer would show orange. Community page mentions "optimized Cloudbased business applications" and I hope to be able to get back to work soon.

VPNs don't work well with satellite internet, unfortunately. (EDIT: but read this: https://support.hughesnet.com/en/faq/internet/can-i-run-vpn-over-hughesnet, and note that "HughesNet Technical Support does not provide help with configuring or troubleshooting problems associated with VPN clients.")
That said, the HN reps on the site, or someone else, may have tips or suggestions for you.

Good morning api,
Thanks for posting, I hope Gabe and Maratsade's input helped. To add onto that we do have some work from home resources here: https://www.hninfo.us/worktips

While HughesNet has been optimized to help those working and schooling from home, the very high system load as a result of so many more people being home and online can still cause things to not work as well as they normally would, unfortunately. And with VPNs not working well under normal circumstances with HughesNet, using one under the current conditions very likely compounds the issue. 😞
