Fire tv cube streaming

I bought a fire tv cube that runs off my WiFi but when I try to watch anything it keeps buffering!! Do I need more data or something else? I’m so frustrated

Unless you've alredy run out of data, you don't need any more.

If you're trying to stream HD, it's going to try to poll the streaming server a lot and may be too much latency for the streaming server to handle - that's why it buffers. Try lowering the stream resolution so it pings the server less.
