I think credulity and lack of critical thinking have always existed -- they have been the tools of con men and others for centuries, maybe even millenia. The internet makes it easier for the silliness to spread, especially since the marks are so willing to engage in the cons. Seems a sucker is still born every minute, though that may be a low estimate.

Everyone who uses the word "fraud" to refer to businesses legally collecting funds must pay me $10. It's a federal law. The Feds will take this directly out of your credit cards, paychecks, or taxes, whichever is easier for them, so you don't even have to worry about it. *I am not a Hughesnet employee or representative. Your contract lasts 2 years. When did you start service? You can cancel at any time during those two years, but you need to pay an early termination fee if you cancel before the end of the two-year contract.

You know, many of us live in rural areas. In fact, I bet most of Hughesnet's users live in rural areas where there are either no other choices for internet, or the other choice(s) are rubbish and/or very expensive. I have Verizon wireless available: it is expensive and it is rubbish. Hughesnet works very well for me and for a great majority of its customers. Perhaps it doesn't work as well for you, and if so you should try to fix the issues you have. But you are doing people with limited choices a disservice by telling them to discard something that may very well work fine for them. *I am not a Hughesnet employee or representative. @GabeU, seems the font has been fixed -- before, it looked smaller to me than the font on your reply, but very readable still on a laptop screen. Now it looks larger than your font. Before, there was a lot of spacing between the lines, and now that's gone too.

I watch the game to see skill and sportsmanship, though the latter is often lacking. I dislike the dramatics, theatrics, and hysterics, and would rather they just play or leave the field. I think Croatia did very well, and I had been rooting for them to advance, and while I would've wanted to see England win, I'm fine with Croatia getting the cup. I'm less enthusiastic about France (must be a DNA thing.... long history between our two nations), but ultimately I hope the winner is the team who demonstrates the best skill, naive as this may sound. I really enjoy the game when the players show talent and skill and refrain from antics.

Xfinity provides badges for their established customer volunteers. Not sure how much it helps, given the posts over there are basically just like what we get here, and users still believe that volunteers are shills, or that they are employees in disguise, or that they're paid by Xfinity. You can't fight cray.

Have you looked at yourself? You are exhibiting the very same behaviour that you criticise in others. This is a tech support site, not a rant site. The small percentage of Hughesnet customers that have tech or billing issues come here to help resolve them. The rest of their about 1 million customers are doing just fine. Very likely -- if your Dish is connected to the internet, then it may be pulling data and may be responsible for your data drain. If there's a way to disconnect it, you should try it, or you can change the network password so it can't access the network. That will tell you if Dish is the culprit.

It's not Hughesnet fault that you're moving. The contract stipulates that if you end your subscription early you pay a penalty. Moving is not listed as an exception to this stipulation. *I'm not a Hughesnet employee or representative.
