One frustration after another for the past 2 weeks. I would suggest screenshooting all of this thread and calling the fc* and put in a formsal complaining about the treatment you have gotten here. I am sure the federal agency that over looks companies like this would love to see how you have been treated. It is beyond ridiculous and uncalled for especially from people that do not even work for Hughes net. Shame on them and I wish you well, good luck hope they eventually help you. Re: Not happy with service Oh you were scammed just like we were. Spend over 4 hours on the phone yesterday for nothing. They over charged me, automatically took money from my bank before I even got a bill and out of data already. We have the 20 go plan and in less then 24 hours we have used it all when we have nothing connected to it. Exactly the same as you said we were not informed of any of it. When I was talking to Steve yesterday I asked him if he would pay for this service and he said no he would not. Pretty bad when the employees would not even pay for this service but it is ok to do this to customers. It is so bad I can not even upload a photo here of my non existent speed we have. I am actually posting this using the hot spot on my phone. Worst service ever! What is the solution I got yesterday... buy extra token so we have internet! Money money money is all they want. No desire to make customers happy. Rude customer service and terrible service god only knows why they are still in business. And I do not even care right now if I get more rude comments here like before. As a brand new user coming here for help and advise being told that it is not Hughes net job to manage the way we use our data was rude. Especially when I said it was my kids using it all for school. Then you said to try between those ungodly times. I was never told any of what is happening. I was assured, and I asked several times during the call, if what I had would be enough enough and she said yes it will be plenty. We come here for help not lectures. I am so distraught because my kids can not even do their school work not to mention can not even watch anything on tv. One would think you would be nice and try to offer different solutions instead of lectures with a holier then thou attitude to try to retain customers. Seems you are doing everything to drive them away.Now we pay money each month for a service that does not work and nobody can help except say buy tokens. We should be getting the service we pay for the way it was sold to us. And even if I put in a ticket how will you hear when the person I spoke to had their own kids running around screaming in the background. I am sorry I ever signed up for this. Being a new user to Hughes net I had a question and came to the community to find help. I tell you I will not be back for anything here. Every question I read into was answered by a rude nasty comment. Usually saying "you have to manage your data that is not Hughes nets job" well having kids doing school remotely it is kind of hard to manage data when they have to go to school. And then telling people to use the internet between 2am and 8 am, yeah like I am going to wake my 12 year old up at 2 am to go to school which does not open until 9. All answered were rude and uncalled for. I will be cancelling my service with or without early termination fee because people come here for help not snotty, judge mental remarks. I will not have it reviewed because after reading only a few of the rude replies people have been given I have a feeling no matter what the sales people have said it will always go in Hughes net favor. How I manage our data is not the problem it is the fact that you are using the pandemic to extract extra money from people to buy tokens just so their children can go to school. I think it was gone in less then a week then it slows down where they can not do their schooling. Is it normal to get penalized where we have to spend more just so kids can go to school? This is our first experience with satellite internet and so far it is just not working out for us. I guess we can not -lay play station or even watch anything through streaming. I was not told any of this when I signed up. I was assured we had enough to do everything we needed it for which we are finding just is not the case. I was misled by the salesperson and now we are stuck in a contract. I just do not know what to do when my kids can not do their school because the schools do not care what the situation is they just want it done. We just moved from NH to SC and apparently Hughes net is the only internet we can get. We have a something or other data plan. With 2 kids doing school remote they suck it up rather fast. We do not stream anything because well it just does not work. I was told when I got this service that if we go over the data then it will just slow down. We would not get charged for any additional data it will just slow down. I was never explained about tokens or anything like that when I signed up for this.
