Patty, I have heard back, and the telecommunication taxes are a type of state tax. To understand better, I would recommend contacting your state in regards to what sales taxes are charged. Jeffery, So we can begin addressing your speed concerns, please create a testmy.net account and run 3-5 tests during different parts of the day. Post your test results link here in your thread. Please keep in mind that HughesNet will only accept testmy.net and the official HughesNet speed test results. Tests from other sites like speedtest.net are not accepted due to the compression technologies and latency that satellite deploys. Most important points to remember during this test: -do the tests while directly connected to the HughesNet modem with a LAN cable (NO third party Router or Wireless devices can be used) -use the 25MB size download test file -If testing upload instead of download, you must use a 4MB size upload test file -space each test at least 5 minutes apart -post your results URL here, it may look something like http://testmy.net/quickstats/C0RR0SIVE For a more in-depth guide on running the tests, please visit: http://hninfo.us/speedtest Thanks, *Felicia*

When our techs install the equipment, they need to install where there is proper line of sight, to ensure the service will work adequately. I can see in the notes that when the agent you spoke to called the dealer, the dealer stated the roof was the only place he was able to get a proper line of sight. Hello Chris, Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear you misplaced the Administrative password. To reset the password, you would need to do a factory reset on the modem. To factory reset the modem, press the reset button on the back (with a paperclip or something small) and the WBS button on the front simultaneously, releasing the reset button and continuing to hold the WBS button for 30 seconds. The modem should reboot itself, which in return should set the Administrative password back to "admin". Please let me know if this helps. Thanks, *Felicia*

Hello Tgilbe8, Thank you for reaching out to us. I see you are new to the community, so welcome! I am sorry to hear you were not expecting your payment to be taken out until 12/8. While the due date reflects 12/8, when you are on autopay it does debit from your account on the date the bill is generated, which was 11/28. The due date is the grace period in which the payment needs to be made, in case there are any issues with processing the payment when the bill generates. I see from your account that you have switched to invoice billing. This will alleviate payment being taken out, as you will need to manually make the payments. If you should choose to switch back to auto pay just remember that the payment will process on the day your bill generates, on the 28th of each month. This will also save you $5 a month by switching from invoice billing to auto pay. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thanks - *Felicia*
