Blink mini security cameras
I have the 100 GB plan. Trying to set up Blink mini security cameras. Two issues- the 2GHz, not 5 is the only option when picking the WiFi and when asked for password it keeps saying incorrect. Is there something else I’m missing? I’ve also reached out to the Blink support.Best setup for repeater operation
Greetings - I'm new here. I just got service set up and am suffering some issues with my intended operation. The satellite internet service is intended to replace a cellular mobile hotspot that I use at a remote location. The setup has a handful of internet devices, three of which are in a metal building that is 115 feet from the HT2010 (formerly hotspot). The devices include two Nest Protect units and a single 2.4 GHz wifi-controlled air conditioner that connects via the NetHome Plus Android app. The metal building barrier and the distance are overcome by using a NetGear EX7000 set up as a repeater. The repeater uses an outside coaxial cable-connected directional antenna with 20 dB gain pointing at the modem and a coaxial cable-connected omnidirectional antenna inside the building (it uses this second cable-connected antenna because the repeater resides in an intermediate room in the metal building). The setup worked fine when connected to the cellular mobile hotspot. After connecting to the HT2010, I was unable to get a reliable connection to the A/C and the Nest Protect units. The 5 GHz band never connected to the repeater, so I used the 2.4 GHz band. The EX7000 reported signal strength of about 50% in that band. If the problem is not related to the double NAT, would you expect a third party router (I'm looking at TP-Link AX3000) to handle my situation better? If it is related to the double NAT, do you have any ideas how to determine this is the case?Xbox Issues
First off, I am aware that HughesNet is not "recommended" for playing online Xbox games, so no need to say that. I am aware of the lag and everything that comes along with it. However, I choose to deal with it so that I can still play games with my friends. Anyways, here's my issue. Regardless of the latecy, speed, etc., the issue I want to address is that my NAT settings keep popping up as Double NAT. This issue makes it incredibly hard, and sometimes impossible, for me to join games that my friends are playing. I know this is a HughesNet issue, and not a Xbox issue. I have tried all of the generic ideas that people always try to throw at me, such as using an ethernet cord (no that doesn't fix it), so I'm looking for a more detailed idea. Maybe something with bridging connections or deleting something or some actual setting change inside of my HughesNet router settings. I've tried port mapping to no avail. I believe the Gen5 modem is the source of the issue, and it acts like I have conflicting issues with my IP Address. I've tried many things honestly, so please suggest a real solution or at least a good starting point. I know I can't be the only person experiencing this, yet I can't find anything when I search these threads.
