Upgrading accounts
Today is my Commitment end date 01/19/2026. My plan says that currently i have 100 GB Service Plan, even tho I have upgraded it last year. my Bill is more than $89. I am tempted to purchase the 200 GB Plan, except for the fact that the competitor satellite provider offers unlimited home data for the same price.
Is HN competitive, and can they match the service for the same price.
Does HughesNet have an unlimited plan?

Hughesnet is unlimited in that they don't cut you off if you use up your data. You can continue connecting, but at a reduced level of speed (Verizon does the same thing). You have higher speeds while you have priority data left, but once you've used that, your speed is reduced. Also, speeds are not guaranteed. You may want to read the subscriber agreement:

Hey, All Our Distinguished Profs are still here!
I'm in the hills of NOVA, and My satellite options are limited, however SpaceX had been launching more and more satellites and finally positioned one over me close enuf to offer residential service.
Starlink's best residential plan claims unlimited data and speeds up to 400 mbps. uploads 20-40. The price of $120/mo is less than what I am paying now at HughesNet. Their 200 mbps plan is $80.

Hey, kitnbob! Good to see a familiar handle. 😄 Thanks for adding more info! EDIT: Closed the browser by mistake.... Wanted to add that it seems that it may be to your advantage to change providers.
