FAP Policy difference

Does anyone know if there is a difference between g4 and g5 as far as speeds after you go over your allotment ?

Unless things have changed since it was last updated, the difference can be significant.

All Gen5 plans have a universal FAP policy, where the speed during FAP is reduced to "as low or lower than 1Mbps".  Some see speeds up to 3Mbps, but there is no guarantee with this.

With Gen4 it works differently, depending on whether the plan includes "Smart Browsing".  Those with "Smart Browsing" enabled plans will still be able to do most non data intensive things without much noticeable difference:  i.e. browsing, email, shopping, paying bills, etc.  However, large file downloads/uploads or other data intensive things will reduce the speed.  Plans without "Smart Browsing" will see their speeds reduced to approximately 150Kbps, regardless of activity.
