Alternative 3rd party modem

Can you buy your own modem and use it with hughesnet ? I don't want to buy hughesnets modem. Has anyone done this?

  • You can only use the HughesNet modem with the HughesNet service.

Though HughesNet's HT2000W modem must be used, as was intimated by maratsade, you can buy the HughesNet equipment instead of leasing it, if you wish.

  • The HT2000W is a good wi-fi modem. I found the wi-fi signal a little weak, but it works seamlessly with a small wi-fi repeater placed closer to your popular areas in your Large house. :smileywink:
