No Internet

Hello All,

The system light on my modem is not on. All other lights are on. The transmit light flashes often. And no I haven't  ran into it, lol, and I don't  think there have been any high winds. Can someone look into this when the week gets started. Thanks.

  • It is working now. I used it Friday night. It was inoperative Saturday and today until early afternoon when I noticed all lights on the modem illuminated. So I signed in this evening and it's working fine.

    Have you tried calling the 800 number? They're available 24/7 and they can check the modem remotely for you.

      I usually come here first. I often have a hard time understanding them and I am slow to process their instructions. But they do always get it fixed in th end.

    Just in case it might work, have you tried power cycling the modem? If not, unplug the modem, wait a minute, then plug it back in. Then wait a couple of minutes to see if it fixed the problem.

    When you unplug it, do so at the electrical outlet, not at the back of the modem (if you have it plugged into a power strip you can just shut the strip off instead). Also, while it's unplugged and you're waiting for that minute to pass by, check to make sure the coax cable connector to the back of the modem is at least finger tight. It doesn't need to be tighter than this, but it shouldn't be loose.

      I did all but the coax. Will take care of that next time I walk by the modem.   Thank you.
