Thank you for the response and information. It is clear what the answer is.
Did you send a notice out to the community indicating this change? If yes, then I am sorry I missed it and asked the question. If there was no notice sent, then perhaps a message should be sent so people would know what may be happening to their streaming. I am not being critical, just trying to help save you and others from having to respond repeatedly to issues and complaints.

This has been driving me nuts too. I don't watch many videos and my streaming quality is abysmal at all times (even with the video data saver turned off). Why give two options that either turn it off or pause it when they both apparently just "pause" it? Would it be too difficult for Hughesnet to put a simple line of next under the off slider warning that it will reset anyway (whether you want it to or not) in a certain period of time? From my experience, I don't think the video data saver even works. On or off my streaming quality makes watching any channel either unpleasant or impossible.
You're piggybacking on an old ticket -- go to the Tech Support area and start your new ticket if you'd like a response to your question. And the VDS actually does work, even if you think it doesn't. Your issues with streaming have more to do with congestion and network optimisation than with a switch.
