UPNP ISSUE

I have been trying to play a game, but it keeps kicking me out saying upnp is unavailable.

Have you been able to play this game before?

Is this with Xbox?

    Yes. Before I got hughes net, I was able to play this game and yes It is with Xbox.

      I imagine that before Hughesnet you had something else that wasn't satellite, and this may be the reason the game isn't playing.   It may be a latency issue.  Hopefully a mod or another subscriber will reply to this and give you more information, but in the meantime, you may want to ask the Xbox community. I'm sure there are a lot of people there who also have satellite internet.  Good luck!

      Unless it's a turn based game, geostationary satellite internet isn't a good choice for gaming. The latency is far too high for actions games and the like. 

      Having said this, I'm not sure if latency could be causing an upnp issue. 

      There's a section in the FAQ that talks about gaming with HughesNet.
