I keep getting no internet detected

I keep getting no internet detected but when I go to setting it says secure but no internet,yet my sister which is downstair says she never gets that message.  I the modem bad? I have had a tech come to the house several time and he sees no problem. This problem has been going on ever since I have had hughs. Pleas can you help?  thank you Jean

Thank you for posting and welcome to the community. This sounds like it might be a range issue. A good way to test this is to go downstairs and use your device for a while. If you don't see that message it means upstairs is a bit too far from the modem for the connection to stay stable. We can explore some options to help with this. If it is still doing the same thing downstairs as well, then you can send me the phone number associated with the account and I will run remote diagnostics to check everything. https://community.hughesnet.com/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/76644

 

Please keep in mind that the "hug2" network has an optimal range of about 30 feet where the "hug5" has an optimal range of 15 feet. These numbers are not exact but are close.
